How Deep Checks Works
Founders apply on our site. We vet their decks for (1) being deeptech and (2) appearing venture backable. We don't conduct interviews. We filter with a light touch, preferring to minimize our own bias. Every three weeks, we email the best decks to you. You log into the page you're viewing now, browse the startups below, and click "Click to copy email" to reach out to founders directly. In short, we are not Y Combinator; we're a light deck filtering program. We work really hard to be efficient.

Confidentiality is critical

Neomera BioLab
Founder’s note on traction
We are beginning to see early commercial traction. Two pharmaceutical companies have approached us with interest in target-specific, early-stage drug-discovery collaborations. These discussions are still preliminary and have not yet resulted in signed agreements, but they provide encouraging early validation that pharma recognizes the need for Neomera's function-first discovery capabilities.
CryoAxis
Founder’s note on traction
We’re pre-revenue, but demand is already clear: power availability, interconnection delays, and cooling-water constraints are becoming gating issues for new AI data-center capacity. We are in active discussions with hyperscale developers, infrastructure operators, and potential pilot partners, with multiple NDAs executed and commercial/technical conversations underway. Made By Genie
Founder’s note on traction
521 brands have designed 1,850 formulas on Genie since April, up from 52 brands in April. 104 live production orders cover 445,500 units, about $590K of manufacturing at conservative estimated prices. 52 of our 61 personal-care orders are for 1,000 units or fewer, below most manufacturers' minimums, and that is the gap our first production cell fills: about $260K to build, runs of 20 to 2,000 units, and a 56% gross margin at 500 units. Three products are selling, one in Walmart, with seven more in sampling. Formulation chemists have reviewed 259 formulas and authored 829 corrections, which feed back into the model.
